Use this checklist when asking a provider for a quote. Save the answers in the same conversation as your appointment confirmation.

Details to get in writing

  1. Location and access: the exact property, entrance and meeting point. Check hotel or condo visitor permission before confirming.
  2. Practitioner: who will arrive, how you will identify them and whether any requested preference is confirmed. Use the practitioner checklist for qualification questions.
  3. Service and time: the agreed service and hands-on minutes. Ask whether consultation, changing, setup and packing count towards the quoted duration.
  4. Equipment: what the practitioner brings and what you supply, including the treatment surface, towels and coverings. See equipment and preparation if the requirements are unclear.
  5. Total payment: the final amount for your location and time, including any transport, parking or other compulsory charge. Confirm the deposit, balance, payment recipient and receipt.
  6. Changes: what happens if you cancel, the practitioner is late or replaced, or the building refuses entry. Ask how any deposit is handled in each case.

A message to send

I would like to ask about [service] for [hands-on duration] at [property/area] on [date/time]. Please confirm who will attend, what equipment you bring, what I need to prepare and the full price. What are the deposit, cancellation and late-arrival terms? I will confirm visitor access with the property before booking.

Add any clothing, draping or communication preferences that affect whether you would book. A request is not a confirmed arrangement until the provider agrees to it.

If the answer is incomplete

Ask about the missing item before paying. “All included” is not a complete quote if transport or equipment has not been discussed. If the provider changes the practitioner, price or service, ask for a revised confirmation and decide whether you still want the appointment.
